Job Description
The Site Superintendent is a full-time, on-site role based in the Greensboro–Winston-Salem–High Point area, responsible for overseeing day-to-day field operations on construction projects. This role coordinates and supervises subcontractors and site staff, ensures work is completed safely, on schedule, and in accordance with plans, specifications, and quality standards. The Site Superintendent monitors site progress, conducts regular inspections, manages daily reports, and communicates effectively with project managers, clients, and design professionals. Responsibilities include implementing safety programs, managing materials and equipment deliveries, resolving on-site issues, and supporting project scheduling, change management, and punch list completion. The role also involves maintaining a clean, organized job site and representing Carolina Builders and Design professionally with all stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
• Oversee day-to-day construction site operations and ensure work is performed per plans and specifications
• Coordinate and manage subcontractors, vendors, and field crews
• Maintain and enforce project schedule in coordination with Project Manager
• Monitor quality control and ensure compliance with drawings and specifications
• Enforce job site safety standardsand OSHA compliance
• Conduct daily site walks and proactively resolve field issues
• Coordinate and manage inspectionswith local authorities
• Track field progress, manpower, and productivity
• Review and support RFIs, submittals, and shop drawingsfrom a field perspective
• Maintain daily logs, reports, and site documentation (Procore)
• Coordinate material deliveries, storage, and installation sequencing
• Lead punch list completion and project closeout
Skills
• Strong experience inconstruction site supervision and trade coordination
• Ability to read and interpretconstruction drawings and specifications
• Proficiency in Procore (required) and field documentation tools
• Strong understanding of construction sequencing and scheduling
• Knowledge of OSHA safety standards and job site compliance
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills on-site
• Strong leadership and communication skills with subcontractors
• Ability to manage multiple trades simultaneously
Qualifications
• 5+ years of experience in commercial or hotel construction (field role)
• Proven experience managing projects from ground-up through completion
• Strong understanding of site operations, inspections, and code requirements
• Ability to maintain schedule and push trades effectively
